The Joker is, without a shadow of a doubt, one of the most Iconic Super-Villains of all time. Everyone knows who Batman is, and everyone knows who The Joker is; that is because the rivalry between The Joker and Batman is the most iconic super-villain/superhero match-up in comic book history. Interestingly, he is also the most feared supervillain within the DC Universe - other supervillains tell each other Joker stories around the proverbial campfire. The Joker was ideated by Batman creators Bob Kane and Bill Finger (who was only recently given the credit he deserves), as well as artist Jerry Robinson in 1940, meaning he has been around practically just as long as The Dark Knight himself - over 75 years! Known for his unusual appearance, his outlandish crimes, and his unique relationship with Batman, The Joker is one of the most obscure characters in the DC Universe. His lack of a definitive origin story plagues even him. The fact is, the Clown Prince of Crime has influenced the comic book industry and pop culture more than anyone realizes.
When hunky, twenty-year-old heart-throb Heath Ledger first came to the attention of the public in 1999, it was all too easy to tag him as a "pretty boy" and an actor of little depth. He spent several years trying desperately to sway this image, but this was a double-edged sword. His work comprised nineteen films, including 10 Things I Hate About You (1999), The Patriot (2000), A Knight's Tale (2001), Monster's Ball (2001), Ned Kelly (2003), The Brothers Grimm (2005), Lords of Dogtown (2005), Brokeback Mountain (2005), Casanova (2005), Candy (2006), I'm Not There (2007), The Dark Knight (2008) and The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus (2009). He also produced and directed music videos and aspired to be a film director.
But out of all these, his best work is considered to be of that in The Dark Knight. It is because of his superb Villain role that I consider him to be the best of all the Jokers till date, and this is only why I decided to write this article on this great Super-Villain, Heath Ledger.

Every person is always interested in knowing about their favorite Heroes and Super-Heroes. And I, being a Developer and Creator, am obviously different from the rest ☺. Also, I see that not much importance is given to Villains, which in my sense is injustice to them, as the Heroes can't be famous without the existence and role of the Villains, and Joker is a Super-Villain, so, WHY NOT!?
